It's a quick read, and certainly made me think. And in the end, I'm back to where I was a week ago: I don't care anymore. Curse you, news media, for making me think this mattered! Curse you!!!So as an ethnographer of Samoan migrants, I want to say that I heard a number of stories that sound almost exactly like Manti Te’o’s story — naïve Christian golden boys who had been fooled by other Samoans pretending to be dewy-eyed innocents. Leukemia was even a theme, I guess Samoan pranksters keep turning to the same diseases over and over again.

The More You Know
It's rare that I read something that makes me rethink everything I know about something, but sure enough, right when I had assumed Manti Te'o was complicit in the whole "fake girlfriend" ordeal, along comes this posting, refocusing the story around his Samoan heritage:
